Award Shows Red Carpet, Celebrities

Known to be super daring and rebellious, Rihanna has landed Style Icon of the Year Award at the CFDA 2014 Awards held last night.

Of course, the pop princess’s outfit was custom made by designer Adam Selman. Wondering how many Swarovski crystals are covering Rihanna’s body? That’s a grand total of 216,000, people.

Cannes Film Festival: Top 9 Trends!

Award Shows Red Carpet, Celebrities

So the Cannes Film Festival came to an end last week. Let’s go through some of the trend highlights!

  1. Feathers!

feathersChloe Grace Moritz and Julianne Moore in Chanel. Freida Pinto in Michael Kors.

  1. Lace! lace

Karlie Kloss was draped in it, and Nicole Kidman piled it (along with every other shiny embellishment a craft store carries) on thick in her Armani Privé gown.

  1. Shimmery Shineshimmer

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Selita Ebanks were on their finest model behavior and glimmering in glamorous getups, but Cara Delevingne decided to forgo the floor-length look for a Chanel Couture mini dress. What a rebel that one is.

  1. Comfortwearlounge

Kristen Stewart had the best of both worlds in a Chanel jumpsuit–with the tennies to match–but Kylie Minogue practically wore her pajamas, like, the whole time.

  1. Pleats! pleats

Zoe Saldana and Marion Cotillard were both pleated perfection, but Alessandra Ambrosio seriously slayed in a Roberto Cavalli creation.

  1. Asymmetrical Shoulder! shoulder

Naomi Watts and Jessica Chastain gave the paparazzi the cold shoulder in easy, breezy, and very pretty windblown gowns. And how Swank was Hilary in Atelier Versace? Very.

  1. Suits! suits

Lea Seydoux‘s powder blue Prada perfectly complimented her red locks. Berenice Bejo incorporated tux detailing into her velvet gown, but Coco Rocha did it best in Roberto Cavalli.

  1. Texture! texture

Blake’s showstopping Chanel dress was stitched with all the sequins in the land, Cate Blanchett had a beautifully embellished Givenchy gown, and Marion Cotillard was a walking, talking kindergarten craft project in Mason Martin Margiela.

Now you tell me, what was your favorite?

The BillBoard Music Awards 2014 – Red Carpet Highlights

Award Shows Red Carpet

Last Night, the BillBoard Music Awards 2014 occurred in the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

In general, this year wasn’t too bad fashion-wise, with a few exceptions of course.

Here are some of the best dressed:

Image

Jennifer Lopez won the Icon Award but I think it’s safe to say that she looks super fantastic in Donna Karan crimson (dark red) gown…

Kesha

Kesha looked exceptionally great this time wearing a black lace detail mermaid gown.

Jordin Sparks Michael Costello LBD

Jordin Sparks wore a sequin LBD by Michael Costello and looked very chic.

Carrie Underwood

This has been dubbed one of Carrie Underwood’s best looks but I am on the fence for whether I like it or not. What do you think?

As for the worst dressed:

Cher Lloyd

Cher Lloyd looked like she was going to a cheap prom night with an overly embellished purple dress.

chrissy teigen

Chrissy Tiegen is a model that usually really wows with her fashion style, however she definitely missed with this mini dress.

Natasha Bedingfield

This is the perfect example of bad styling. Natasha Bedingfield’s look is definitely a reason to get her stylist fired.
